About the book

When the breaking becomes your beginning.

Raised by her grandmother in New Haven, Connecticut, Maritza Bond learned early how to carry what others could not. It began with a broken heel. After dinner at a restaurant, Maritza stepped outside and her heel snapped. She laughed, then sat alone in her car, and in the quiet she heard a whisper: 'This is the moment.' That is where this book was born.

A faith-filled memoir and devotional about how God still speaks through broken things. Every chapter ends with reflection questions and a declaration, so it can be read on your own or in a small group.

“Healing is a journey, and you are not alone.”

Advance praise

“This book will challenge you to trust God in trying times.”

— Alfred D. Watts
Senior Pastor, Cornerstone Christian Center
